Serving Our Neighbor

If a church isn't serving, then it is missing the point of faith
and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We regularly visit one another in the hospital, visit our shut-in members, and help the community with food from our pantry. We lead worship for nursing home residents at Gracedale and Manor Care, and our Youth raise funds for charitable organizations and participate in an annual mission service trip. We serve according to our interests and abilities - some are very active in a local food bank and others volunteer with housing for homeless women.  Add to this the many acts of service and kindness that are done each week without recognition and you can see that St. Mark's is a congregation that cares.

St. Mark's distributes food through the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church food bank located at 521 East Locust Street, Bethlehem, PA, 610-867-6021; the Northampton  County Office of Children and Youth; and the Bethlehem Area  School District. We coordinate the ornaments for the Tree of Hope that holds gift requests from individuals and families in need. Do you have a passion for service, or ideas to make our service reach farther? If so, join and serve with us!
Hebrews 6:10 "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do."
